ICYF-DC, MALAYSIA INITIATE THE Renascence of Muslim Future Thinkers
Conference “Towards The Renascence of Muslim Future Thinkers: Vision Tn 50 OF Malaysia” Kicks of in Kuala Lumpur
As part of the celebrations of Putrajaya as OIC Youth Capital 2017, the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) hosted the Conference “Towards The Renascence of Muslim Future Thinkers: Vision Tn 50 OF Malaysia”, which was opened by His Excellency Brig. Gen. Khairy Jamaluddin, Minister of Youth and Sports of Malaysia, who delivered the opening speech to highlight the significance of the event for the youth in the OIC Member States. It was also an occasion for the hıgh dignitary to recognize and congratulate the ICYF-DC on successful organization of strategically important process of Muslim Future Thinkers FORUM (MFTF) at international level in a successful collaboration with OIC Member States. He made clear that established and young scholars were being challenged to exert all their best efforts towards the re-emergence of primacy in knowledge production by the Ummah.
The Keynote Speech of His Excellency Ambassador Elshad Iskandarov, ICYF-DC President was delivered by Mr. Abdurrahman Topbaş, ICYF-DC Vice-President in which the importance of establishing the Muslim Future Thinkers Forum was underscored. The audience of distinguished academia was informed on ICYF-DC tireless year-long efforts which are planned to culminate InshaAllah in April 2018 in Istanbul by full-fledged establishment of, in April 2018 in Collaboration with IIUM and hosted by Ibn Khaldun University, as a hub for knowledge creation from Muslim majority countries. He mentioned that the 3rd of September, which is now the OIC Youth Day, would be an opportunity for scholars to produce materials celebrating youth as OIC Member States force of change towards their progress and development. He finally while thanking the hosts for the commitment in convening the second international preparation Conference of the actual Forum, he invited all concerned to actively contribute for the success of the Al-Quds OIC Youth Capital in 2018.
The Opening Ceremony was also addressed by Prof. Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin, IIUM Rector, who welcomed the international participants and Guest academicians and expressed her appreciation to ICYF-DC for inviting the IIUM to be for part of this strategically important International Academic Program.
‘Towards The Renascence of Muslim Future Thinkers: Vision Tn 50 of Malaysia’ program went on with four (04) academic panels in which 16 Leading academician were invıted to discuss important issues, related with Muslim Worldin an audience of around 150 outstanding Undergraduate, Master and Phd Students from OIC Member States.
