ICYF-DC STARTS EUROPEAN TOUR OF “Human Faces of AL-Quds” EXIBITION with DISPLAY IN PARIS
29th September. PARIS. The first European edition of International Photography Exhibition entitled “Human Faces of AL-Quds” was held in FIAP Jean Monnet Center in Paris. Speaking at the Opening of the Exhibition, H.E. Amb. Elshad Iskandarov, the President of ICYF-DC emphasized the importance of providing youth for opportunity to express themselves on most pressing issues of international relations including through the means of artistic expression. The speaker underlined his hope for this exhibit which sends the message of Hope for Just and Peaceful Future in the holy to be displayed in UNESCO and headquarters of other international organizations as part of inter-cultural dialogue and providing youth with the said platform. He then announced the winners of the contest while thanking many hundreds of those who joined it as well as the partners of contest and exhibition and informed on ICYF-DC plans to tour the exhibition around the world before its display in Istanbul in the end of October.
H.E Amb. Salman Al-Harfi, the Ambassador of the States of Palestine to France thanked ICYF-DC for efforts invested in organization of numerous activities under the Al-Quds – OIC Youth Capital 2018 programme which he considered as important avenue of realization of international consensus on the status of Jerusalem and platform for expression of solidarity with the people of Palestine.
H.E. Amb. Ali Zainal, Permanent Delegate of the State of Qatar speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Culture and Sports also thanked ICYF-DC while underlying importance of solidarity of international community on issues of justice and humanitarian appeal expressing the special role of youth in establishing inter-cultural bridges in this area.
Then attendees of the evening acquired themselves with 51 selected photos of the exhibition which starting with the launch in Paris will tour the European cities during the forthcoming months.
