Dear Brothers and Sisters,
On this day of A’rafa and on behalf of the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation I have the honor to greet you all on the advent of the blessed Eid al-Adha.
On these days by offering sacrificial animals Muslims in holy pilgrimage of Hajj and around the world renew the vow by the Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) to The Almighty’s call of submission. This sacrifice stands as symbol of greater struggle with our inner self, aimed at perfecting our ethical stance.
On these days we are aspired by sacred rewards as promised by Allah Ta’ala in the Holy Koran:
“(O Muhammad), surely We have granted you the Kauthar. Therefore, offer Salah (prayer) to your Lord and sacrifice.”
On these days let’s make duas of peace and security for all Muslims in the world who have been suffering from the humanitarian catastrophes and wars, particularly for suffering and struggling peoples of Palestine, Syria and Iraq.
On these days by sharing sacrificial meats with those in need we give concrete meaning to the ideal of Islamic solidarity and ONE UMMAH.
On these days ICYF-DC fulfilling its own part of contribution to OIC solidarity is working hard to make success the forthcoming 2nd General Assembly of the Forum to be held in Istanbul on 9-11 October 2014. While dedicating the utmost of our recourses to this cause we are counting on support of our members and all youth throughout Muslim world to enlighten the forthcoming discussion with your ideas and proposals in the areas of youth development and education, participation and entrepreneurship, gender equality and strengthening moral values. You can send all your ides to ICYF-DC Facebook account at www.facebook.com/OIC.Youth or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
