ICYF-DC engages in 14th OIC-UN Coordination Meeting
July 3, 2018, Rabat, Morocco The ICYF-DC delegation took part in the 14th session of OIC-UN Coordination Meeting held in Rabat, the Kingdom of Morocco, in the headquarters of the ISESCO for 3 days. The main goal of this event is to develop the existent mechanisms of cooperation between these organizations.
In the event, representatives of the UN and OIC institutions discussed the achievements as well as prospects for cooperation.
In the first day of the session, the head of the delegation of the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation (ICYF-DC), Mr. Elchin Asgarov, the director of the Eurasian Regional Center of the Forum read a statement addressed by H.E. Amb. Elshad Iskandarov, the President of ICYF-DC to the participants of the session.
Throughout the consecutive working groups, ICYF-DC made proposals for holding the 1st Intercultural Youth Camp in Amman, Jordan and the 1st OIC African Youth Solidarity Forum in Khartoum, Sudan during September 2018 alongside a range of other proposals discussed in political, economic and social working groups and bilateral meetings, which were reflected in the final adopted matrix in the last day of the OIC-UN coordination meeting.
At the sidelines of the Rabat event, the ICYF-DC delegation held at-length bilateral talks with UN institutions such as UNESCO, UNICEF, ISESCO and other international organizations to discuss the means and method for comprehensive cooperation.
