Dear Sisters and Brothers,
On behalf of the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation I have the honour to congratulate you all on the occasion of the blessed Eid ul Fitr Al-Mubarak.
During Holy Month of Ramadan hundreds of millions of Muslims worldwide fasted from dawn to dusk and offered up their prayers to attain righteousness, peace and prosperity for our families, loved ones and the Ummah at large.
Eid of this year unfortunately has come with an immense pain in our hearts. Muslims in different geographies were under attack almost all the Ramadan. Hundreds civilians among them children, women, elders have been killed, injured, thousands fled their homes. Atrocious terror attacks in Istanbul, Baghdad, Dhaka, Amman and Medina al-Munawwarah among many other tragedies shocked us. We pray for the souls of those who lost their lives in these barbaric attacks.
While the youth of the Ummah is experiencing the excitement of this Holy Eid, we have also to keep in mind our sisters and brothers in different parts of the world who have been denied the joy of Eld ul Fitr as a result of terrorism, aggression, oppression, poverty and war and who continue to strive for the basic rights of freedom and dignity. On these holy days, while offering our duas for the victims of the ongoing conflicts in different parts of our geography let us renew our commitment to spear no efforts in continuing to educate and empower our youth to stand strong and resourceful in confronting challenges of wars, inter-sectarian schism and under-development.
Wishing to all our Members, supporters and friends best of the health, happiness, peace and prosperity we at ICYF-DC together with all partners in the OIC family and yourselves will continue to work hard for the sake of descent future for our youth, solidarity of Ummah and better tomorrows for all.
