ICYF President Mr.TAHA AYHAN participated at the 34th session of COMCEC

ICYF President H.E. Mr.Ayhan met with the H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey and the Secretary General of the OIC  His Excellency Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen.

 

The Thirty Fourth Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) was held on 26-29 November 2018 in Istanbul. The Session was attended by representatives of the Member States of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The Opening Ceremony of the Thirty Fourth Session of the COMCEC was held on November 28th, 2018 under the Chairmanship of H.E. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, President of the Republic of Turkey and the Chairman of the COMCEC.

President Erdoğan delivered the opening address of the session. Welcoming the delegates, H.E. ERDOĞAN expressed his wishes for the session to be most beneficial for the member countries, the Muslim World and the world in general. H.E. ERDOĞAN stated that in order to minimize the risk of being subject to hostile attitudes in terms of economy, it would be a good start to increase the use of the national currencies in the commercial dealings between the Member Countries.

Following the Inaugural Statement made by H.E. ERDOĞAN, the Secretary General of the OIC made a statement at the Opening Session. His Excellency Dr. Yousef Al-OTHAIMEEN, the Secretary General of the OIC, thanked the Government of the Republic of Turkey for the traditional hospitality and excellent arrangements made for the success of this annual event.

At the side of the event, ICYF President H.E. Mr.Ayhan met with the H.E. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, President of the Republic of Turkey and the Secretary General of the OIC  His Excellency Dr. Yousef Al-OTHAIMEEN. While H.E. Mr. ERDOĞAN congratulated Mr. Ayhan for his new duty and wished him success throughout his tenure, Mr.Ayhan shared information about upcoming projects and activities of ICYF for 2019.
